What is an API integration?
An API (Application Programming Interface) is a standard way for software to exchange data. An API integration uses it to link two or more systems, for example your webshop and your accounting software, so orders, customers and invoices are transferred automatically instead of being typed in by hand.
Which systems can you connect?
In principle any system that offers an API, a database or a file export: accounting packages such as Exact Online, HR software such as Carerix, CRM systems, webshops, payment providers, shipping carriers, Peppol e-invoicing and custom software.
What if a system does not have an API?
Then we look for another reliable route, such as database access, scheduled file exchange via SFTP or a folder that is monitored automatically. We wrap that route in an adapter so the rest of your landscape can treat it like a modern API.
Real-time or scheduled synchronisation?
Both are possible. With webhooks, a change in one system is processed in the other within seconds. For large volumes or systems without events, a scheduled synchronisation is often more robust. We advise per data flow.
What happens if a synchronisation fails?
Our integrations log every message and retry automatically when a system is temporarily unavailable. If something keeps failing, you and we receive an alert with enough detail to fix it quickly, without data getting lost.
